Global supply chains are shifting toward packaging solutions that minimize transit damage, improve worker safety, and reduce environmental impact.
Historically, heavy-duty industrial bundling relied heavily on high-tensile steel strapping. However, modern polymer chemistry and advanced processing technologies have elevated Polyester (PET) and Polypropylene (PP) strapping systems to the industry standard. This transition is not merely driven by cost savings, but by the physics of load retention.
Unlike steel, which deforms permanently under impact, polyester strapping possesses structural "elastic memory." When a palletized load settles, shifts, or contracts during overseas shipping, the poly strap shrinks back to its original tension. This ongoing dynamic tension ensures that heavy cargo—such as structural steel, aluminum profiles, raw timber, and concrete masonry—remains rigidly stabilized from the factory floor to the end destination.
Engineered with computerized numerical control (CNC) micro-machining and heat-treated alloy components, these tools are built to withstand continuous cycles in heavy industrial environments.
Established on March 14, 2008, and located in the Tiancheng Industrial Park, Yueqing City, Wenzhou, Wenzhou Handpack Machinery Co., Ltd. has developed into one of China’s largest and most technologically advanced manufacturers of handheld packaging tools. Set against the scenic Yueqing Bay and backed by the Yandang Mountain range, our modern manufacturing site covers 12,535 square meters of highly optimized, CNC-driven production floor.
We focus on the design, manufacturing, and distribution of high-performance pneumatic strapping machines, manual tools, and battery-powered (energy-storage) electric strapping equipment. These machines are engineered to run PET (Polyester), PP (Polypropylene), and steel banding seamlessly. They serve a wide range of industries including steel mills, non-ferrous metal extrusion lines, building material manufacturing, wood processing, and global logistics terminals.
By operating under the strict guidelines of the ISO9001 International Quality Management System and achieving full European CE certification for all product lines, Wenzhou Handpack ensures that every tool leaving the facility meets global compliance and safety standards. Our dedication to design and quality has helped us establish a strong reputation across North America, Europe, South America, and Asia.

Our systems are designed to match the specific structural requirements of different materials, ensuring load stability under varying temperatures and shipping conditions.
Essential for bundling finished paper rolls and stabilizing corrugated boxes. Prevents damage to paper fibers by maintaining consistent, controlled tension levels.
Secures heavy, high-value metal coils and sharp profiles. High-tensile strapping prevents load shifting during rapid container movement.
Firmly bundles logs, structural boards, and pallets. Absorbs natural expansion and contraction caused by changing wood moisture levels.
Reinforces traditional nails and screws. Adding high-tension banding ensures structural stability for heavy industrial equipment during transport.
Secures heavy, fragile marble slabs, bricks, and tombstones. Replaces steel wires to eliminate scratching and structural cracking.
At Wenzhou Handpack Machinery Co., Ltd., we align our operations with four core cultural pillars. These values guide our technical design, raw material sourcing, assembly practices, and customer service.
"Helping enterprises take off with every bit of strength." We design tools that optimize operational efficiency at the packing station.
"Honesty forever, trust in the future." We build long-term partnerships through transparent material certifications and reliable service.
"Pursue value, create value, realize value." We measure our success by the transit safety and packing efficiency of our customers' goods.
"Innovation, Integrity, Pragmatism, and Efficiency." This drive shapes our R&D efforts and our transition toward smart, battery-powered tools.
PET bands recover up to 95% of their initial elongation under shock loading, protecting packages from dynamic impact during transport.
Unlike steel, polymer bands adjust as loads settle or shrink due to thermal changes, preventing strapping slack.
Polymer strapping will not rust, stain, or scratch sensitive materials like coated aluminum, glass, or polished stone.
In industrial strapping, the strength of the system is determined by the joint efficiency. The joint is typically the weakest point of any strap.
Our research shows that while manual buckles achieve between 50% and 65% of the strap's break strength, friction-welded joints on battery-powered tools (like the DD160 or DD190U) achieve up to 85% to 90%. This high efficiency is achieved using controlled friction, which heats the polymer molecules just enough to bond them together without altering the surrounding material's structure.
For heavy cargo, high-tensile Polyester (PET) is the standard choice. It offers low elongation and high tension retention, behaving similarly to steel banding. For lighter bundles, Polypropylene (PP) is preferred for its high elongation and recovery, making it suitable for smaller boxes and palletized consumer goods.
From mechanical lever systems to digital, brushless motor configurations, we continue to evolve our tools to meet the demands of modern logistics.
High-tensile steel construction, hardened ratchets, and heavy-duty gear systems designed for reliability in remote, off-grid locations.
Uses compressed air to deliver high, consistent tension. These tools are designed for continuous, high-volume production lines.
Features brushless motors, digital control panels, and lithium-ion batteries to provide portable, high-efficiency strapping.
Integrated sensor arrays record tension levels and weld quality for every strap, enabling real-time data tracking for quality assurance.
At Handpack, we maintain strict quality control throughout our manufacturing process. We inspect every incoming raw metal batch and test the final tension levels of our completed strapping machines to ensure reliable performance.
Our facility operates under the ISO9001 Quality Management System. Our export products are fully certified with European CE marks, helping them comply with import regulations worldwide, including in North America and Western Europe.
We operate fully equipped testing labs to run drop tests, fatigue tests on brushless motors, and structural limit tests on steel tensioning gears. This rigorous testing helps prevent tool failure on your packaging lines, minimizing down time.
We provide wholesale buyers, distributors, and large manufacturing operations with transparent lead times, reliable supply, and customizable OEM/ODM services.
We offer custom branding, tailored color schemes, modified tension limits, and custom tooth wheel geometries for unique packaging requirements.
Our tools are packed in double-walled corrugated boxes with custom foam inserts. We ship on heat-treated wooden pallets to ensure they arrive undamaged.
We supply critical wear parts, including feed wheels, gripper plates, and cutter blades, to keep your packaging lines running smoothly.

PET strapping offers high tension retention and elastic recovery, making it perform similarly to steel under load. Unlike steel, it does not stretch permanently or lose tension when the load settles. It is also safer to handle, lighter, and will not rust or stain your products. PP strapping is best reserved for lighter, smaller packages due to its lower break strength and higher elongation.
We machine our key structural components on high-precision CNC centers to maintain tight tolerances. High-wear parts, like the feed wheel and tension cutters, are made from heat-treated alloy steel to extend their operating life under harsh conditions.
Friction-welded joints, created by our pneumatic and battery-powered tools, weld the overlapping strap ends together to reach 80% to 90% of the strap’s break strength. In comparison, manual metal seals usually achieve only 55% to 65% efficiency and require metal clips.
We recommend cleaning the feed wheel and gripper plate daily with a wire brush to remove polymer residue. For pneumatic tools, add a few drops of pneumatic tool oil to the air inlet daily to keep the internal motor lubricated.
