They are highly durable, portable, and require no batteries. Battery-powered tools, like the DD163U, automate the tensioning, friction welding (sealing), and cutting processes into a single-button operation, providing much faster output and highly consistent tension force.
For heavy, non-compressible materials with sharp edges (like steel beams or cut stone), high-tensile steel strapping or heavy-duty PET (Polyester) strapping is recommended.
